So quite, and private an array of wildlife in the garden to enjoy. Heating went off once Siwan was there within 5 mins to sort, the character of the place is amazing and such craftsmanship. Left something behind, posted out to me no problem. Thank you

This is a beautiful place to stay and would go again, we had a wonderful time there . Very relaxing.. the bath is amazing and the hot tub , siwan was very help to as we didn't take enough towels she got us some . The only thing we didn't get much sleep as the hot tub buzzing all night kept us awake 😴 no blinds at bedroom window it needs some it very bright in the morning ...

Absolutely amazing place. We had a fantastic 4 day stay in August and can't fault the accommodation. It was clean, comfortable, in a gorgeous setting and the bath for two was brilliant.

My boyfriend bought a 3 night stay for us in Y Capel as a birthday present for me. We stayed near the end of February for a long weekend. The place is super cute, very romantic, lots of nice little touches. We had a lovely weekend, went out during the day and came back to the cottage in the evening, the bath is lovely and the hot tub is great. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars and not 5 is that you have to pay for heating. The only central heating in the cottage is the towel radiator and underfloor heating in the bathroom, this is not enough, I don’t know what the thermostat was set to but it was locked and it was only ever 10°-14° in there. There was complimentary logs that we used in the log burner on the first night so it was warm then. Any logs after that you have to pay for, I wouldn’t mind paying £5 for a bag of logs (lasted a few hours) if it was just a novelty but it’s the only way to not be freezing. We bought a bag of logs on the second evening and went through those in a couple of hours. It was only on the third evening we discovered how freezing the cabin really was without using the log burner. We texted the owner late afternoon on our third day asking for some more logs but never got any response, by the time we realised we weren’t getting a response we’d each had a few drinks so couldn’t even drive to a shop to get logs so we spent our last evening absolutely freezing, going to bed fully dressed and piling under blankets. I think that logs (for the entire stay) should be complimentary or they should get better heating in the cottage as you should not have to pay extra to heat the place.

Lovely converted stables in the heart of Wales. Rural, remote area. Lovely and quiet very relaxing. Only fault,take a sleep mask if you don't want to wake up at 5am every morning. Hot tub was private so it was perfect for couples. No kids allowed. Even more perfect.

Very well appointed clean log cabin with hot tub. Sirwan and Jake great host. If you want a quiet, romantic getaway, I highly recommend staying here. In the seclusion of the Welsh countryside

What an amazing stay in Y Capel at Nant Awen. Romantic and cosy with amazing hosts Jake and Siwan. The surrounding area is beautiful, with many areas to explore either by car or hiking. Will definitely be back. Edit: Came back a second time for another stunning visit. The hosts were amazing again and made the visit another brilliant experience! Also, found out that this place has an amazing dark sky, perfect for sitting in the hot tub and star gazing!

We stayed in the Y Stabl for 5 nights and it was absolutely gorgeous. Siwan and Jake have done a brilliant job with the interior. The original beams being kept was a touch of class. Mid Wales is truly a beautiful place in the UK, if you are a couple, I would highly recommend staying here whilst visiting it. Not a bad word to say

Second time we have stayed here. Absolutely fantastic if you're looking for some secluded time together. Beautiful setting but not to far from amenities. We loved it and will definitely be returning for a third time.

Brilliant romantic getaway spot in mid Wales. Run by the fantastic Siwan and Jake, and their dog Buffy. Each rental comes with a hot tub, kitchenette, and is decorated perfectly for a getaway. Lots of the furniture has been handmade by Siwan and her family, and it gives the place an enormous sense of homeliness and love. One of the rooms features an authentic, made to order Moroccan bath. It's a real gem of a place, and it's well positioned to explore Wales to your heart's content.
