Writing this on behalf of Marian and Mark Berkshire. We spent four days at this beautiful annex on the grounds of the main B&B due to my disability. I was amazed to see a ramp allowing access to the annex which was so clean and beautifully set up with a parking space next to it. Cath and the staff were amazing and so friendly, it was like being home away from home. Nothing was to much trouble for them. The food was brilliant and so much choice. We would love to go back again soon

Spent a couple of nights here at this lovely b&b. The room was very nice and it had lots of thoughtful added extras which all have the environment in mind, which I like! Hosts were great and breakfast was generous. I chose the stay based on the b&b rather than its location so I guess the only tiny downside is that it wasn't close enough to the places we ended up visiting, but that's certainly not the b&b's fault!

Wow! I have stayed in hotels all over the world and Cambrian House is the most luxurious place I have ever stayed. My party were met upon arrival on the stunning patio with a very warm welcome. The patio slabs were of a beautiful, metallic slate and truly shone with vibrant colours after the rain. The name sign for the B&B made me want to do an engraving of it. The property is situated next to a river and also has a fully enclosed wild garden for guests to use. Upon entering the building the eclectic, individual taste of the owners permeated every aspect of the decor, furnishings and finishes. All three large bedrooms are unique and superbly designed with immaculate cleanliness and attention to detail. The rooms and the bathrooms are enormous and feature furniture made by Ivan the host, himself. Jacqui’s vision is clear to see throughout, I truly think she is a design genius. Attention to detail is everywhere including in the handmade soap and delicious handmade biscuits. I think it would take a few weeks’ stay to discover all the little touches available. Jacqui and Ivan’s commitment to an environmentally friendly and sustainable philosophy are shown in the simplest things such as a shower cap made from stone paper. There is a coffee machine with plentiful pods in each room and even a little jar of tiny marshmallows for hot chocolate. A bottle of water and a bottle of milk is provided in the fridge in the dining room for each bedroom, so no plastic waste there! The beds are all so comfortable with divine linen, perfect for a fantastic sleep after a day of Powys sea air. Advice on what to do in the area is provided by the hosts as well as plenty of brochures with ideas and information. The breakfast choices were phenomenal, all beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The fruit salad was a revelation full of strawberries, kiwi, blueberries, grapes, nectarines, melon; all so fresh, juicy and sweet. Everything you might desire in a breakfast was available and served in a timely fashion. Lastly, the hosts Jacqui and Ivan were a really very special couple. They were gracious, kind, helpful and had good senses of humour. Would I recommend this business? 100% but I don’t want them getting so booked up that I can’t return whenever I want to!

Beyond Excellent. A stay at Cambrian House is a must if you are looking for luxury accommodation at a very reasonable price. The level of detail, quality and love that has been put in is apparent. Spacious rooms and bathrooms, very comfortable beds, all the amenities that you need with some lovely personal touches.

My stay at Cambrian house was, in a word, "delightful!" Rooms are gracious, spacious, and well appointed — with comfortable beds, gorgeous modern bathrooms, and lots of convenient "little" touches everywhere you look. Cambrian House’s hosts — Jacqui and Ivan — were also a delight from start to finish. From the warm initial greeting, to help arranging dinner reservations, and attentive breakfast service, Jacqui and Ivan were the perfect hosts. They even accommodated a last-minute request from a friend of mine in North Wales to secure an additional room on the first night. Delicious breakfasts were served each morning in a bright and comfortable dining room on the ground floor — a tasty and satisfying experience every time. Quite simply: Cambrian House is fantastic all-around. Highly recommended!

Amazing find, beautiful B&B, superb hosts Jacqui and Ivan made us feel very welcome. Our room was amazing and to a very high standard, breakfast was one of the best we have had in a long time with plenty to choose from. We will definitely recommend to family and friends, we can’t wait to return 😊

We booked the Cambrian House because we were attending a wedding reception nearby. Cannot fault it, the rooms are beautifully decorated and have everything you could possibly need in them. the breakfast menu had a great choice and was cooked to perfection. the hosts were on hand if needed and were very helpful with local info on taxies etc. Would definitely recommend Cambrian House

Easy to find, Jacqui and Ivan were fantastic hosts and went well out of their way to help and accomodate us. The rooms were clean, modern and everything was thought of, you can tell they really care. Cute little extras included that I absolutely loved. Definitely recommend, the hosts were so lovely too!

WOW! Just got back from a 2 night stay, and I can only describe what a fantastic little getaway. Everything that you need, room and bathroom was just perfect. Excellent attention to detail, breakfast was one of the best we’ve ever had, and the hosts???? Well, you couldn’t ask for anything more, kind, welcoming, friendly, just brilliant! A stunning, very last minute find. A high quality establishment in every respect. We stayed four nights and couldn’t fault anything. Top quality furniture and fittings, very comfy beds, a huge bedroom and bathroom (Gold Maple). Jacqui has thought of everything from homemade biscuits, fresh milk each day, mugs as well as china cups, wine glasses, coffee machine, the list goes on…Food was perfect - I love the proper crispy bacon. The eggs freshly laid by the very well looked after chickens in the garden were huge and yolks golden yellow. And thank you Ivan for the beautifully prepared fruit salad each morning. See their website for more detail. We were on a motorbike and Jacqui and Ivan were very welcoming. We were able to put the bike away each night in a huge secure garage and it really felt like home from home. Bang in the centre of Mid Wales with fabulous biking roads on the doorstep. Think we’ll be going back again…
